Short answers to what people ask most. For deeper answers, see Common concerns.

What does Care Beyond Borders do?
We are an India-based coordination company. We arrange the practical side of medical, Ayurveda, homeopathy and health check-up trips: appointment and estimate requests to providers you choose, visa paperwork guidance, airport pickup, stays, transport, interpreters and recovery stays.
Are you a hospital or a medical provider?
No. We don't provide medical care, diagnose, or give medical advice or treatment recommendations. Your medical care is provided by the hospital or practitioner you choose, under their own terms.
Who chooses the hospital or practitioner?
You do. If you ask, we gather published information on options so you can compare them, and we point you to official directories to check credentials.
Do you promise results?
No. Nobody can honestly promise the result of a treatment or therapy. We describe what is available and help you plan the trip around it.
Does Ayurveda or homeopathy treat my condition?
We can't and don't make that claim, for any condition. Please talk to your own doctor, and don't stop or change any prescribed treatment.
What is Nadi Pariksha?
A traditional Ayurvedic pulse assessment at the wrist, often part of the first consultation at an Ayurveda centre. It is a traditional assessment, not a medical diagnosis. More about Nadi Pariksha.
How quickly will you reply, and does it cost anything?
We reply to your enquiry in writing within one working day, with the next steps and what we can arrange, and that first written reply is free. It covers planning only, not medical advice. Hospitals reply on their own timelines; we follow up with them, but we don't control how long they take.
How much do you charge?
Our coordination fee is agreed with you in writing before any work starts. Treatment prices come from the provider.
Do I need a visa?
Most visitors need a visa. India offers e-Medical and e-Medical Attendant visas, and Ayush visa sub-categories, for eligible nationalities. Eligibility varies by nationality; check the official e-Visa portal. We give general guidance only.
Can a family member come with me?
Yes, family members can apply for the e-Medical Attendant visa where they are eligible. We arrange their stay and transport too.
Should I send you my medical records?
No. We don't need them to plan your trip. Share records directly with the provider you choose.
Will my insurance cover treatment in India?
It depends entirely on your plan. Ask your insurer or health plan in writing before you go, including about complications and follow-up care.
What happens after I go home?
Your provider gives you a discharge summary and records for your doctor at home. Agree a follow-up plan with your doctor before you travel.
Which languages can you help with?
Tell us the language you'd prefer when you enquire, and we'll confirm in writing whether we can arrange an interpreter. Many hospitals' international desks also offer interpreters.
Is Care Beyond Borders part of the Government's Heal in India initiative?
No. Care Beyond Borders is a private company and is not affiliated with the Government of India. We use "Heal in India" to describe travelling to India for care. About the initiative.
Do you work with partners abroad?
Clients in some countries may also be served through independent partner coordinators abroad. They are separate companies.
